Tortoise Habitat
Imagine a habitat with rocky terrain, surrounded by vegetation and a small pond. That’s the tortoises habitat, which you’ll be able to observe. There are two species at Zoomarine: the mediteranean spur-tighted tortoise, which is characterised by its small size and the fact that it hardly increases in size throughout its life. The other species is the African spured tortoise, which can reach between 30 and 40 centimetres in length and weigh up to… 40 kilos!
