At Zoomarine, we work every day to reduce the environmental impact of our operations, and plastic management is a priority. Several years ago, we stopped using and providing plastic bags in our shops. Today, visitors can only find paper or cloth bags, encouraging more conscious and planet-friendly choices.
In our food and beverage areas, we have been progressively replacing single-use plastics.

The Bamboo restaurant, for example, is a reference within the Park, using reusable plates, cups and cutlery, significantly reducing the amount of disposable waste generated.

We send several tonnes of waste through the appropriate treatment and recovery streams. Each type of waste is properly separated and treated, contributing to reduced landfill disposal and the recovery and reuse of raw materials.

In addition to reducing and reusing, we seek to separate different types of waste for recycling and recovery. We are constantly assessing new solutions in this area!

With more than 1.5 hectares of green spaces, making use of green waste generated through the pruning and maintenance of our landscaped areas plays an important role in the Park’s waste management operations.

We therefore transform the green waste produced at Zoomarine into organic matter, which is then sent for biomass production, contributing to energy recovery and more sustainable management of natural resources.
