Environmental education and awareness have been Zoomarine's goal, which it achieves through its Education Department. Over the years, we have implemented a series of educational activities aimed at all our visitors, designed for different age groups and stages of life – from youth to old age.

Zoomarine's ongoing work has resulted in a wide range of complementary environmental education projects, such as Salpicos da Natureza (Splashes of Nature), Alimentação das Raias (Feeding the Rays), the EDUCar project, Operação Montanha Verde (Operation Green Mountain) and Operação Praia Praia Limpa (Operation Clean Beach), which involve the collaboration of volunteers. The options aimed at schools and other groups, as well as daily visitors, are a privileged way for Zoomarine to spread its message of protection and respect for the environment to all those who visit it.
