Where do the Dolphin Emotions experiences take place?

Dolphin Emotions experiences take place in the ‘Enseada Tropical’ habitat, where access is exclusive and reserved for participants and their companions.

Do I need special equipment?

The aquatic equipment will be provided by Zoomarine. You must wear your own swimsuit underneath and you must wear your own slippers/sandals. T-shirts are optional.

Is the lagoon deep?

Yes, participants will be in areas with varying depths (between 0.6 and 5.5 metres), depending on the programme selected, they may only be in shallow areas.

Can I choose the time of my experience?

The session time is assigned automatically at the time of booking and will be displayed when you finalise your booking. The session time will also be indicated on your ticket.

Can the weather conditions affect the sessions?

Except on days when the weather is extremely bad, the sessions will take place whenever Zoomarine is open to the public.

How can I make a booking?

Dolphin Emotions Experiences must be booked through the electronic ticket office on our website. There is also a vast network of official Zoomarine agents throughout the Algarve who can make this reservation.

What is the minimum age for participation?

Children aged 6 or 7 can only take part in the Encounter programme – if accompanied by another participant over the age of 16.

 

For the Premium/Exclusive programmes, children must be at least 8 years old to participate. It is compulsory to show your national identity card or passport to confirm your age. You must also be able to swim to take part in this programme.

Is it possible to take photographs or film?

Guests can film or photograph, but only from a distance, from the area reserved for them. However, Zoomarine will carry out a photo session on site, which will be made available at the end of the experience (Check the conditions of the selected programme).

Is the water temperature variable?

The water is not artificially heated. Depending on the time of year, the water temperature varies between 18ºC and 24ºC.

Does everyone have to buy entry to the park?

Entry to the Zoomarine Theme Park is included in the participation ticket and the accompanying spectator ticket for the day of the experience.

 

Visitors who have already bought a ticket to the Theme Park can, after entering the Park, buy a spectator’s ticket for €2.

Can I bring personal belongings?

It is not allowed to enter the lagoon with objects such as earrings, rings, necklaces, watches, piercings, bracelets, hair ties, beads in the hair or on the swimsuit, glasses, rigid contact lenses, and other objects that can have an abnormal effect on the skin.
All these objects must be stored in individual lockers beforehand.

Are there any risks involved in the experiments?

No, as long as all the rules of the programme are respected in terms of safety, posture and respect for the previous instructions.

Can accompanying persons attend?

Spectators must purchase a specific ticket for accompanying spectators. Children under 1 metre tall can attend free of charge as long as they are accompanied by other spectators responsible for the child.

How long does the experience last?

Including the training session, time to change clothes and the session itself, the total duration of the experience varies according to the programmes.

 

Dolphin Emotions Encounter: 60min. The water experience will last approximately 20 minutes.

 

Dolphin Emotions Premium / Exclusive: 90min. The water experience will last approximately 35 minutes.

Is it compulsory to wear a wetsuit or waistcoat?

Yes, it is compulsory to use the aquatic equipment provided by Zoomarine, for health and safety reasons, both for the client and the park.

Are there any restrictions on eating beforehand?

It is recommended that participants avoid heavy meals before the experiences as the experience involves constant physical activity in the water.

Do the experiences require a ticket?

Yes. Each participant will need to purchase a specific ticket for the experience.

How far in advance should you book?

Ideally, bookings should be made one month in advance. However, you can always confirm availability for a specific day in our website.
